Echo park is a perfect blend of creatives and LA culture.
My most magical echo park moments include:
1. When the pink trumpet trees bloom around Echo Park.
2. Soundbaths at YOGALA yoga studio.
3. Spring walks through Elysian Park, especially after a rainy season.
4. Feeding the ducks while riding paddle boats on echo park lake. It seems cheesy but it’s a little magical and never crowded. My 4 year old loves it.
My Perfect Weekend in Echo Park:
Friday Night:
Echo Park Farmers Market for some fresh cut flowers and fresh baked bread.
Tortilla Soup and a Margarita at El Compadre.
Walk the long way home and have a chill evening with the family.
Saturday:
Start with early Pilates at the Club Pilates on Sunset… then make an opening AM stop at Honey Hi for a bulletproof coffee.
Late morning paper reading time on our front porch while Elke plays in the front yard garden.
An early afternoon walk down Carroll Ave (most historic street in Los Angeles) with the family to check on progress on our latest victorian rehab.
An early evening dog walk slash swing by Echo Park Lake for some last minute playtime.
Meet a girlfriend at Ostrich Farms (we both walk of course) for some Sancere wine and flatbreads.
Sunday:
Long late AM walk to another coffee shop favorite Eightfold on Sunset.
Peruse nearby cool levi’s loving vintage shops The Collection while sipping the latte.
Late afternoon Thai Massage at Pho Siam.
Sunday evening home cooking and neighborhood kids playtime.
Sunday night TV.
